Charlie Kaufman has a problem. The Academy Award-nominated screenwriter of “Being John Malkovich” and the current “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” has been asked to adapt Susan Orlean’s best-selling novel “The Orchid Thief” into a screenplay.
